Great thread with plenty advice and guidance! I've removed all my supers ready to extract honey and treat for varrao using Apivar strips. Can I overwinter on a single brood and place a slab of fondant in an eke? If so, would fondant sit directly on top of the frames or above crownboard?

I experienced similar at yesterday's inspection. This was from a 5 frame nuc with a 2022 queen. this s only on 1 frame. Not sure what it is and what I should do.

Question on using heat guns to melt wax. Does the wax then remain in the honey, if so, will this not solidify slowly? Does the heat affect the properties of the honey in any way?

Yes checking every 7 days, saw 2 cells towards top of frame. Definitely haven't swarmed. The emergency cells are capped. Is it no point of introducing a new mated queen then?

Unknown. They had a 2021 queen who was doing well. All of a sudden, just disappeared.
