Good tip, is to spray luke warm water directly on to the eggs once a day to imitate the hen bird getting back on to the nest after early morning feed/toilet breaks.This works great for me when hatching guinea fowl and geese.

Hi Everyone, I intend to mix my own oxalic treatment ,I've got three hives to treat, whats the correct weight of oxalic crystals to sugar solution best suited to my needs!

Annem, was your oxalic acid in crystal form, if so did you mix it yourself and apply!!

About 100 approx bees under mesh, no feeder on , colony not enormous to burst out of the hive,no bees under mesh when the tray was removed,I like the idea of brushing them into a box!!

More info;One inch entrance fitted two weeks ago, no tray removed it this week! It was the picture of slugs under hive that prompted my curiosity.

Tonight had a quick look under my hive noticed I had bees wrong side of the varroa mesh,how do I get them back tomorrow any ideas!!!

Who sells it at £8.95 sounds a bargain!!!
