when the heather gets burnt here in the mournes it never seems to grow back, grass and bracken are up like a shot and seem to choke it out . Darren

A few flowers on some plants opened but most are a week of so away yet, was up yesterday evening and it was very very cold, if the weather stays cold like this is there any point in moving hives up or will the ling produce at lower temps??? Darren

yea there is a few pigeon men about but i think the cd's might work, plastic bags might be a bit too much i doubt. its just getting them up there is the thing, i'll figure it out someway though. cheers.

This years ducklings are now flying and the rest that had there wings clipped last year have now moulted and are starting too, they go for flights around the house and do a few laps before landing in the yard, problem is that there is a few telephone lines around the house and one has already...

if they were my bees i would take there floor away and set them on a eke for a week or too with an entrance cut in it (a floor with no floor sort of thing),that way if they did try to steel them they might get a good seeing too when lifting them. Darren

Can somebody tell me some bramble flowers are white and others a pinkish colour, the pink ones seem to come slightly later in the season??? Darren

i have a wasps nest the size of a football under a large deep roof within feet of my hives and it can stay there as long as it likes, with my hives being so strong i can't see it becoming a problem. Darren

the bell is the same here on the lower parts, i moved my hives to the heather this time last year and never got a drop till near the end of august, its a hard one to call. Darren
