    Do bees remember where flowers are.

    Maybe a very silly question but if bees were working a field of flowers some distance from the hive would they remember to fly straight till it again the next morning or if the weather was bad would they remember a few days later? Darren.

    Hey i have noticed that the Isle of wight honey show is normally on around the first Saturday of November each year but can't see a date for this year. I might be on the island around that time and could have entered a few jars in the show, anybody on here know much about it? Thanks Darren.

    The heather is really pouring into the hives in the Mournes here at the minute, every bit of space in the hive is getting filled with nectar.Best iv'e seen in years.

    What's the best thing to burn in smoker?

    Soft rotten wood, i'll collect it now in the autumn and let it dry till next year. I can have it smoking, block up the smoker and travel 20mins and it will still fire up again after a few puffs. Darren

    AFB Sterilisation question.

    All the hives are wood. I have a big electric boiler, does any one know if the super frames had the wax cut out could they be boiled in bleach? Would this be enough or do i burn all? all the brood frames and bees have been burnt in the infected hives. Darren
