    questionable teaching or not?

Yes some people keep amm, some people keep near native bees and as I already stated some near natives are to prolific for a single brood box? Some are not and are kept on a standard brood box I don't get your point?

    questionable teaching or not?

He was there in Ireland today was he? Is it not standard practice to keep bees on a single national brood box? So what bees was the standard national brood box designed for if its utter nonsense, was it Italian bees or buckfast bees or something else? What makes you so doubtful there is no...

    questionable teaching or not?

But it dosnt seem to be the case, look at Ireland don't most keep their bees on standard national brood boxs with commercial supers? Roger Patterson keeps his English near native bees on standard brood boxs?

    questionable teaching or not?

That's not what I read I think I read what we call the national is a modified national, I can't rememeber why or what was modified but ill try and find out. I'm almost certain I read the British national we use today was specifically designed for our native bees , im guessing thats the reason...

    questionable teaching or not?

If you read what I wrote I stated some native bees do to? I've been lucky enough to get some very close to native bees and the man who bred them keeps his on brood and a half British nationals and ill be doing the same when they are ready. Some people still keep none prolific bees on standard...

    questionable teaching or not?

That would be on the prolifically of the bees? Do you think they designed the brood box to home the brood or just some of it 😂? Foreign bees need bigger brood boxs hence why the brood boxs are much larger would you not agree? The problem is hear we have such a mix and match it seems bees tend...

    questionable teaching or not?

I cant see a fault with wanting to keep bees on a standard brood box, that is what a natinoal hive was designed for not brood and a half or double brood? British bees before mass imports of foreign bees where kept on a standard brood box?

    Honey with added CBD

I'm sure I watched a video where the bees produce honey from cannabis, it was certainly abroad and it migjt be the pollen gets mixed in with the honey as the loonys hanging off clifs where just cutting comb from wild bees. I'll try and find it

American Beekeepers - astonishingly calm bees or crazy keepers?

No bbwear suits, also no bee suits or gloves and even some with no vails! Dosnt really leave much room for argument with genetics these days, with f2 and further aggresion and back then there was less imports of none native bees so the stocks where much more native amm.

American Beekeepers - astonishingly calm bees or crazy keepers?

I think its the mix of bees hear, when you look back through old pictures in the uk when we had predominantly just the one native breed alot of people just wore a vail or nothing in the form of protection just normal cloths. Rodger patterson only wears a vail on any of his videos, he admits he...

Amm / Native Black Bee Discussion

It dosnt seem to be the case for most none amm bees, most their keepers admit to feeding alot? There's a very knowledgeable bloke near me i was lucky to meet who keeps amm bees and his bees seem to be flying along, some had filled 3 supers already and my mongrels have only filled one!

    Swarm under OMF

I've just had the same thing, it appears there was a queen with it going to check today as they where very agitated when I removed the cluster and comb. Interested to hear what's happened with yours, I'm pretty sure I've missed a queen cell when knocking them down to one after loosing a swarm.
