Yes, I used it the first couple of seasons but it takes a lot longer and it's also temperature sensitive for optimal application. Sulphur is done and dusted in 2-3h which is why I switched to this.
All I can find are sulphur disks! I hate the bloody stuff, they don't stay lit, a real waste of time! I used to buy strips but they seem to have disappeared from the UK market. Anyone knows why?
What sort of dryer did you get Dani? I was going to set up something this year to reduce water content in honey. I may just invest in a dehumidifier and stack supers.
I have spotted quite a few fields of ORS by Angle. Might be worth doing some door knocking down that way. Personally I don't bother, tasteless and a pain to deal with
Perhaps yes but you have ample resources and they probably don't all work. Whether the OP can afford to try it is different?
My last batch of queens are in mating nucs and will hopefully be able to get out and mate over the next few days as weather is ok. I don't have loads of hives so want to...
I would agree with others in your situation.
I am still making nucs and now the main flow is almost over will be splitting my strongest colonies and add new queens which are currently mating .
I did a round of grafting 2 weeks ago and had the same issue with bees drawing comb around cells. I always have a scalpel with me which I use for this reason. 12 out of 16 take and 10 have emerged.... just for some decent weather now 🤞
can you just stay on your knees so they don't have access to this area? 🤣
7-8 years is good going though. I looked at them but I am not too keen with the leg length zips. More zips, more chances of forgetting to close one properly!
