I can imagine how difficult this is for you especially will young people visiting. We have hives at the bottom of a very long garden and to be honest my grandchildren do not go near, my husband always reminds me, it only takes one sting. Hope it gets resolved for you

Found a mixed bag of frames in a stored winter super. Not a huge amount of honey after extracting but enough. My problem is a) we shouldn't have stored it as a lot of the cells have crystallised. B) What do we do with these frames? Are we risking this year's honey setting quicker if it's mixed...

Bird cherry arrived, now where to put it!!

Inspected all five hives today. Mixed bag, the two monster hives last year are the smallest and very slow building up. Two home grown queens are building quickly and have a lot of bees. Psycho hive is the largest although busy seemed a lot calmer so she lives another day.

Home grown!!!!! Swarm from my son's garden last year. Learning curve. Small swarm with about 50 bees. Silly me put them in a nuc but obviously not a big enough swarm to survive. So on advice from Emyr i did a split and made a new colony with her as the queen.
