I made this box in Jan2020. May 2021 I had 2 of these hopping around the allotment. The adults were flying about during the day for a week keeping an eye on them.

I inspected a colony on Tuesday. All good apart from the start of a QC with royal jelly which I left. Wednesday I decided I should have removed the cup so went in quickly and found the Q dead on the OMF with no wings!!

Probably 95% had vanished with just a few stragglers left in the hive. I checked the brood frame before the swarm was put back in and there was some bees emerging so the cold didn't kill them off.
