Somerset, The Harmony Farms version is geared up for Langstroth frames with flat sidebars only. Any variation on that and the uncapper will not function as designed and will either destroy your comb or fail to uncap, hence the poor results. Eric, i'm not completely sure i have interpreted your question correctly but: the Uncapper has two M6 threaded fixing points on its underside. We use them to fix to the optional box / tray we supply. Many of you will have no need for our box, so you can use the fixing points to secure it down...
