I had ordered from Compak the first couple of years (best prices for the numbers I was ordering), but last year, Bottle Company South had a better price, inc. delivery for the jars I wanted. Only downside was that I used to use the half trays that the Compak jars came in to store my full jars...

Strangely, and it must just be me, but I find it easier to inspect old comb. The contrast between the darker brown wax and the white eggs/larvae makes them really easy to see. When it comes to spotting queen cells I also find that on older frames where the bees have already whittled away...

I can't imagine a school trip without requiring consent forms from the parents/guardians. That's the norm for any event that includes children leaving the school grounds during the school day.
