The BFA had its deliveries diverted away from Beetradex this year, that’s the first time. We contacted all the European suppliers that had attended before offering a new approach to receiving and storing their kit for the shows so they could travel lighter, all at our costs. We at the time where...
Another misunderstanding, I believe we need more shows, this is not “other commercial interests “ this directly connected to the current rolls with an inevitable crossover at BFA member’s expense. I also believe Alex acted correctly by resigning from Beecraft, in an email to me Alex has said he...
Lets try again, not sure why my previous post was taken down
Well its hard to believe this is not a BFA promoted event when two of the key people at BFA will be taking a wage from BFA while promoting their own interests in the same field, if they resign from the BFA then that line may have some...
Well its hard to believe this is not a BFA promoted event when two of the key people at BFA will be taking a wage from BFA while promoting their own interests in the same field, if they resign from the BFA then that line may have some credibility.
Alex has resigned from Beecraft because of a...
Another pack of misinformation, Sherriiff bee suits are a world leading brand, you get what you pay for, the show had free wifi, maybe you just didn’t want to be happy that day hey ?
Don’t listen to rumors, look at the material posted online, we had more traders than the next show is offering and more importantly we had over 2000 visitors. A reminder, we are the second largest company in this field a few smaller companies didn’t attend.
Yes, we will be running beekeeping taster events, as well as talks and product sales. Hoping to create a real beekeeping road show reaching out to local people interested in bees and other pollinators. We also hope that local groups with join us and continue the training of potential beekeepers.
We definitely got wrong footed on the sales, but there has never been a beekeeping show of any type in the UK with 2000 + visitors, we need to take some lessons from this and build on it, over the next 5 years we will improve to the benefit of beekeepers and the industry.
If the old companies who don’t like change don’t want to be involved that’s up to them, the cost of beekeeping has dropped significantly since we have been involved, all those companies that so dislike what I do are happy to drop their names in favour of a version on my company name, in time new...
To add to our 4 shows, Betradex and 3 Festival of Bees, I am told another is on its way, Alex Ellis, Rob Nickless and another have been planning a new show since last year, still to get off the ground but I am assured it is coming.
The aim is to encourage small producers and manufacturers, local bees and queens, we discounted stand for sole traders under our “business development scheme” more stands than the BBKA show and north of 2000 visitors, I am feeling it was generally a huge success, of course more would be good but...
No, that was not the main reason it was set up, the reason it was set up by Toney is because he thought the BBKA’s move to Harper Adams was a tragic one and that beekeepers would not attend in the numbers that Stoneleigh attracted and he was right. Purely a commercial decision.
Sorry, you do realise we are the second largest equipment supplier in the UK don't you, along with other suppliers who are largest in their field, or is that just splitting hairs
Pleased you enjoyed the show, we have some things to learn but overall I thought it was a huge success as did most visitors
Thanks, look forward to seeing you next year :)
Well of course you could have put your money where you mouth is an bought it couldn’t you ! or maybe not, just site and try to put down a verry successful show.
