I've used one for a few years but they're pretty slow.if you have a lot of wax then it takes ages to get up to temp for melting.Fine for small amounts though. I've now put a gate valve on a 45 gallon drum and a double burner gas stove running on lpg.Much quicker and can do large quantities of wax.

Mine was the lid switch.If waters got in it and its corroded you'll need to use the spare black plug.It'll bypass the lid switch.Wont stop when you open lid but i prefer that.

What can also happen is you get water in the lid switch when cleaning and it just wont work.If this happens you'll need to use the other plug supplied with the extractor which bypasses the switch but it wont shut down anymore when lid is opened,which i prefer.
