    Cars hate me

YouTube is handy for someone demonstrating how to do such jobs but as with everything some of the demonstrators are idiots. This is what's inside the driver's door and the passenger door will be similar but possibly slightly less stuff inside. You may have to get a replacement door card from a...

What did you do in the Apiary today?

I remember proper outside market stalls made out of steel scaffold tube, boards and canvas. The steelwork often stayed put permanently. Indoor markets had lines of trestles and board tabletops. Google Market Hall still stands but faceless rulers had the trestle tables removed to be replaced with...

    Cars hate me

It'll be held on with plastic button clips which you can get out with a carpet tack fork. Once the top is loose you can probably spring it far enough to use a mirror on a stick to see the linkage and find a way to unlatch it.

    Mobile bee hive….. discuss 😁

I wonder how long before using an axe backwards to drive a post into the ground will continue before the user needs their head stitching together.

    Open feeding honey to bees!?

Irrespective of the outbreak, I would NEVER advocate open feeding. There have been outbreaks around cottingham previously and not far away is a honey repacking depot. MADNESS in my book.

Some help on what has happened here

If simpletons hadn't transferred the stuff from the clearly labeled containers the kiddies would be very much safer.

Some help on what has happened here

Preglone Extra, a total weedkiller, was a blend of Diquat and Paraquat. It was blamed as responsible for irreversible poisoning back in the 1970s. Despite containers being clearly labeled DO NOT TRANSFER FROM ORIGINAL CONTAINER idiots would put some in an empty pop bottle to take home for their...

Some help on what has happened here

I'm coming late to this party and others are already exploring the various options and inferences but why did you vape 7 days apart? Is someone spreading misinformation about vape treatment of colonies? Perhaps we, as beekeepers, need to educate newbies better.

    Extractor

    Quite so. ☺️

Selling, we are doing it wrong.

Not a member but some years ago I was invited to ride my Icelandic Horse in a team of Icelandics at a Viking reenactment during Melton Mowbray show. We were supposed to be the Cavalry.

What did you do in the Apiary today?

Nowadays I'm lucky to be able to lift mine at all when full. Using a luggage scale is helpful as they provide a decent handhold.

What did you do in the Apiary today?

I recall as a youth reading the magazines in the barbers while waiting my turn for a haircut. One of the young ladies in the centre spread was allegedly from the Mediterranean and the caption said she was a Greek baring gifts.

Selling, we are doing it wrong.

There seems to be an income from the various building projects royals undertook and sales of Chinese made souvenirs. 🤔 Admission prices for Cadw castles vary by time of year, but generally include: Adults: £9.50–£10.00 Families: £30.40–£31.90 Juniors (5–17): £6.70–£7.00...

    Honey authenticity (again)

As Esther Rantzen would say - "that's life!"😁

    Honey authenticity (again)

Us/we beekeepers fret repeatedly (quite rightly) about real vs fake honey but honestly a huge sector of the consumers don't care. I wonder what the sales data of cheap/dear honey going off supermarket shelves reveals?

Insulating for a low consumption hive - review of book by Jean Riondet (La Ruche Basse Consommation D'Energie)

Thermally I don't see much improvement over a decent poly hive, plus it seems like a lot of faffing about.

Moving from a BS Nuc to WBC / National Hive

You could simply use a suitably deep eke on the national brood depth boxes or as you say use correct depth boxes for the new frames. You can also simply place mixed standard frames in the 14 x 12 boxes. The bees will hang comb off the shorter frames as required. Alternatively if you like joinery...

Found at the back of the shed

I remember we had a meat safe in the pantry with the same mesh to exclude flies from food. Strangely there were hooks in the pantry ceiling to hang hams from unprotected.
