    Why you need to look eggs and the queen? More I look the the total space to brood, pollen, honey and nectar. But these do not indiace swarming so, that I must do an artificial swarm.

    Once I caught an unwanted color queen in a swarm. I squeezed it and the swarm had 3 other queens. When the swarm lost the odor of the black queen, it returned to the home hive.

    Draft such larva, which you are able to move. What I have used to move they have been 24 hours old. I have used a sharp stick made from a tree branch. I have used them 55 years. I make a new every time.
