Plan to try Comb trapping this season for the first time on several of my larger colonies. With my Suffolk location any recommendations on when to start the trapping this season making the most of the summer flow?

Just lost one hive to starvation, last week lots of bees, 3 frames of brood, looked great. I moved the super above brood, placed large slap of fondant over hole in crown board. Thought good job done. I'm guessing due to cold nights bees had clustered, all brood frames empty of food, didn't find...

Attended a zoom webinar tonight, guest speaker Ged Marshall. one subject mentioned damp/mould in winter. Ged confirmed he has solid floor and mesh with Nucs.

Used similar on Paradise Hive. 30:00 for 5 with holes cut. Good value I think

agree, still have the problem with weight on inner cover pressing down on frames. guess i could place wood supports around the hole on inner cover and frames to prevent this.
