What's wrong with local bees? :)

The bees from the original Buckfast Qs are wonderful to work with, calm on the comb, non aggressive...But for some reason they are "swarmy" in this area...and if I raise a Q from them they are not nice..Most of my problem with the local bees has been caused by a local "beekeeper" who has...

The Queen was introduced on June 16th...Last Sunday, 6/9/20, I had a quick look in to see if all was OK, found 2 charged Q cells on the bottom of a frame, one was quite large, I destroyed both..Today had another look and...

Been in touch with Chocolate Falls....They have a problem with their online paying system, it will not accept some cards because of a tech hitch with the "3D identity" system. They suggest to use Paypal if you have problems....The fondant is back in stock..

I have a lime tree approx 20 mtrs from my hives...There are also several very large, mature lime trees "up" our local park, which is approx 800 mtrs away from the hives..During reclamation work on a local coal waste tip and changing the course of the river back to it's original bed, they...
