    Correx nuc transport boxes?

I'm looking for one or maybe ten if that is a minimum. Anyone have some for sale or can point me to a vendor please? PH

    Insulating wax melters

I wrapped some multi layer insulation round my melter (left over from insulating rooms in the cottage) and it was fine on a gas burner. It dramatically cut down on the overall time it took to get to the pouring point. PH

    Wrapped timber hives?

I am curious as to how much condensation/damp there is found under the wrap if any? PH

Abelo 20 frame extractor tangential screens

When I was wondering about my 12 frame extractor for tangential screens I phoned and asked the company, better the horse's mouth surely? KISS. PH

    Poly usage

I think that is Ford blue but no matter not really anything to do with the thread is it? PH

yes thanks for spotting a dreadful error.

    Poly usage

I will bring this thread back gently to poly if I may. What I find incredible still is so many do not or will not use top insulation when it is so obvious. Virtually no one who teaches seems to know that the OMF was invented to improve Wintering before varroa ever arrived here. The open mesh...

Excellent thanks. Just what I wanted. PH

    Sending bees in the UK

Ok and thanks. Not really what I am looking for as mine will be a one off compared to a contract with a courier situation which BSH would have. PH

    Sending bees in the UK

Not having sent bees for many years are there any courier companies that would do this now? PH

    Fixing poly nuc super

Never used the Titebond 2 but do use the 3 and it works very well. I glue and put in at least one screw to brace the repair on the odd occasion I've been clumsy. PH

    Farrars rule

Not as much as used to be grown due to the closure of the jam factory at Montrose. Might have been Hartley's but not 100% sure. Rasp honey is near water white, is at times profuse, and as said granulates very fast and is also anecdotally responsible for my becoming a beekeeper. Wedmore lists...

    Double (national) brood vs. 14x12

I add my supers at 8 frames of brood and also the 2nd bb under the existing one. Works for me. All poly national. PH

I think this is arguably the most sensible post ever in this forum. PH

    Flow Hives

Every class or course I am involved with has a starry eyed person who is convinced the contraption is the best thing ever, it's so obviously brilliant! Then on session two I hear the gentle hiss of deflation..... PH

    Ouch!

So we have a new supplier in town for screws timber and so on. I dropped in to see about some plywood the wife wants and they had none in stock and not buying any as far too pricy. Odd I thought. I came home and phoned Jewson's for a half sheet of 12mm ply. Not got that but got 6ft x 2ft x...

    Remaining syrup in the BB

It's very simple. You bruise the frame cappings and put it in between brood frames and the next inspection will reveal a neatly laid up comb. Repeat until all combs in the BB are full of brood.

How to use a war to sell stuff

Good grief and wow that would clash for my labels. ARGH! I just instinctively feel this is bad taste. PH
