    Solar Panel Storage Batteries

Our energy supplier, Green Network Energy went bust. We were transferred to EDF.. Our credit of £385 disappeard into thin air. From end of March (in a normal year) our gas central heating is turned off, and our electric usage is low. So we build up a large surplus over summer. Tried to get...

A ban on smacking children in Wales: a personal testimony.

I was born in '43. My dad, after a serious accident in the mines was sent up to Coventry to work in the munitions factories. My mother took "lodgings" in a house in Abercwmboi. The elderly owners looked after myself and my older sister when our mam went to work. They were wonderful with us, Mr...

    Hive Monitor

I failed to hear who made it, as it was on BBC 1, it would be doubtful if they named the manufacturer. From what I could understand they were using sound and heat sensors. Some of the claims they made suggested that you could deduce if the bees were going to swarm, and that the honey was ready...

In May 2013 I had a Tracheostomy ( making a hole in my neck for me to breath thru' )...

    Poly usage

The last Decca chain to close was the one in S Wales.. On the Wessex helicopters they had the MK 8A. The chart was a roll approx 14 inches wide that scrolled up or down and a pointer would move side to side. Srangely, looking at the chart Oxford was "south" of London. We fitted the Decca to the...

    Poly usage

There were 10 inputs to the computer, but usually only 4 were used, the Master Tx, and you could choose from Green, Blue, Yellow, Red, Purple etc. The inputs were driven by electric motors that "counted" the "standing sine waves" generated by the Decca TX Chains.. The output from the computer...

    Poly usage

I worked on flight control computers fitted to helicopters in '64. Also computers fitted to Decca Nav equipment in the same year. Later worked/repaired them for a living. But I must admit these days I find it difficult to understand the things.
