    Extremely aggressive bees. Help needed

The OP has spelled out the situation without need for any further fact finding. This is not a hive in a remote corner of a cosy rural garden. This colony is stinging outside the hive and is in an urban environment. With great regret the species nowadays has to co-exist with the two legged...

Wait until next year. That way the drones have a chance to perpetuate the problem. Great. Save the bees Save the bees Fairy liquid this evening and solve the problem for the feral population and everyone else too.

What to do with capped honey > 20% water?

I had some on the high side. I successfully dried it by trickling it very slowly from open setting tanks into another set of settling tanks with a dehumidifier running. The surface was visibly drying so periodic stirring helped too.Took around four days but shed just under 2%

To bee or not to bee...

Lots to think through especially if you end up needing to be an employer too. Prepare a safety net as good as you can then take the leap. My biggest regret is not ever having had a job I enjoyed.

Should I give up on this hive?

Don't worry about the weather just do it. It shouldn't be a deciding factor You need to cull the queen in all cases. The chances are they will create another bad one . If you combine them with another then it will be a couple of months before that hive calms down fully. If you shake them out...

Solar heated hives to reduce varroa

    What to do

I've found the spring crop was much drier than the summer-17.5 vs 18.5 Ive got settling tanks tiny-trickling into settling tanks in the "honey room" with a big dehumidifier running. Lost 1/2% in 24hrs so far

What did you do in the 'workshop' today

Yes- that is an idea. There's something not quite right with fully external tunnel devices imho My thoughts for the above post would be to just unscrew the existing mesh (it would need replacing at sometime anyway- especially if you had used Maqs)and replacing entirely it with the structure in...
