    Apiary vandalism / animal rights

That is a very narrow definition of clickbait. There are countless websites that discuss what is and isn't clickbait, for example Wikipedia do a pretty good job as always, but here is a simple guide: If your video thumbnail involves pointing or unnatural facial expressions that wouldn't look...

    Asian Hornet APP

This is an excellent summary by Amaranth. If anybody hasn't yet watched the video below then I recommend they do so. There are several speakers, hence the long length. I've already made this comment on the BBKA forum, but I would like to thank again the Dover beekeepers for the incredible...

    Apiary vandalism / animal rights

I have a love-hate relationship with youtube. The cringe videos from grey molehill honey are definitely in the hate category, so much so I blocked them from appearing in my suggestions a year or so ago. But it was still pretty obvious to me who had posted the video you were referring to...

    Raw honey

If you click the link and look at the web address it actually says "raw vitamin honey"! JustBee's blog description of raw honey was used by Odysea as evidence. I can't find a simple raw honey by JustBee other than one with lots of other ingredients.

    Raw honey

The honey regs say: No food ingredient has been added, including any food additive. No other additions have been made to the honey except for other honey. I've never been sure whether this means you can't sell "Honey with hazelnuts", but should instead sell "hazelnuts in honey".

    Raw honey

All honey has had nothing added so it is unnecessary to say 'pure' plus you are giving the impression your honey is special when it is not.

    Apiary vandalism / animal rights

So the beehives were just a convenient target, rather than a reason for the vandalism. Back to the opening post, if this video was on YouTube then I'd be very cautious about jumping to conclusions; not everything on there is always as it seems. "Creators" get addicted to the attention, click...

Pure is just as bad. This is discussed on this interview with a food inspector by Gwenyn Gruffydd

    Raw honey

Which would fail the temperature threshold for raw honey according to Black Mountain Honey's 2022 petition: Allow honey produced in a certain way to be sold as "raw honey" The UK Government should allow honey to be sold as "raw honey" when it is unpasteurised and not heated above 40c. That got...

    Raw honey

For those at the BBKA who complain about honey fraud, you would hope this paragraph from the judge would spark some investigation/interest from Trading Standards: The evidence of Mr Payne, and the ACTSO guidance, gave me a strong impression of an institutional reluctance to engage with...

    Raw honey

What the judge says: The evidence shows that consumer perception is aligned with common sense: raw in this context takes the everyday meaning of 'unwrought', 'unprocessed', 'in its natural state'. But a precise definition that sorts honey into 'raw' and 'not raw' is less obvious. If, before...

    Raw honey

But honey doesn't liquify at room temperature, you have to exceed it by some margin.

    Raw honey

I still don't understand how you can apply a process (i.e. heat) that changes the state of something (i.e. solid crystallised honey to liquid honey) and call it raw.

    Raw honey

He knew about hmf and storage time: paragraph 8 "a maximum level of hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), a chemical formed over time and much more quickly if the honey is heated" What he possibly doesn't know is (I think I have this correct) there is a surplus of honey on the market at the moment so...

    Raw honey

It would be a brave Trading Standards officer to object to the use of 'raw'. Waltham got a kicking. Nevertheless, I think the judge has this wrong and has relied too heavily on the 7 honey samples. One was the Greek raw honey of this case (presumably they picked the unblended), the 6 others...

The FT also have an article https://www.ft.com/content/c3c59e65-8f0a-4416-9dd4-fb0ff5ada59c . If it won't let you read it without a subscription then find it via Google and that usually works.

    Which Lemongrass oil?

This is what I bought 5 years ago https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/372627291075 . The wording is slightly different now, but hopefully the product hasn't changed. You only need a couple of drops. I also rubbed some lemon balm leaves inside the box since I had them in the garden. Edit: same company...
