My frames are too deep !!

A commercial super frame is 152. A national is 140. Langstroth is 136ish. All have different top bars though. Maybe somebody put commercial side bars on a national?

Piles of dead bees under hives

There's a good presentation here in case you haven't seen it.

A bit more information with photos on this page https://www.nationalbeeunit.com/about-us/beekeeping-news/asian-hornet-2024-rolling-update/ . Looks like one trap caught an Asian hornet and a European hornet. Another photo shows a kill trap with maybe a queen wasp?

Etchinghill and Denton were identified risk locations: The pink dot is where the cafe with the primary nest is located.

I wish we had more precise locations. The etchinghill queen would be quite close to the Eurotunnel freight yard so again could just be a hitchhiker. All 3 locations are within the reported NBU trapping region.

https://www.kentonline.co.uk/canterbury/news/queen-asian-hornet-builds-nest-at-cafe-307052/ Maybe just a hitchhiker from a lorry on the A2, although two queens have been found to the south of this (one in a beekeeper trap)?

We would call it a wick bait station. Although the nest last year was reported as Rye, it was actually Four Oaks which explains the queen's being found in Four Oaks this year. If there are any other queens from this nest hopefully they can be all caught before their expansion. The NBU were...

I've always thought allotments were crazy places for hives

No it is based on risk. Kent and East Sussex clearly have a different risk to the rest of the UK because they are within flight range of the French coast and/or have major ferry terminals, as well as, now having overwintered queens. As far as I'm aware no hornets have yet been found in...

Molly from Bees off in Cornwall was really good.

I believe they were found in the NBU traps i.e. the location was specifically targeted. Dorset is not near Rye so it would be pretty stupid for you to put traps out.

Is that now four or five queens found at Four Oaks? Anyway, the traps seem to be working!

I think it is the last item so 1:30ish on radio 2 - "whether you can object to a neighbour keeping bees." Probably inspired by this recent article: https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-13417705/My-neighbour-started-keeping-bees-stop-DEAN-DUNHAM-replies.html

    Affordable bee suit

What does it wash like? I bought a super cheap suit and jacket from Simon the beekeeper and they both bobbled really quickly. No complaints for the money I paid, but I now wish I had paid a bit extra for better material.

Has cnb written into Jeremy Vine? Last item today maybe worth a listen.

There is a Four Oaks about 4 miles north west of Rye.

Not at all. And the beekeeper has a right to enjoy their garden as they like. For many people keeping bees at the bottom of the garden is an aspiration. Neighbourly relations involves a bit of give and take. Which is why I asked the OP what they would consider an acceptable number of...

Should your neighbour read this forum then he will obviously recognise his own garden. What do think his reaction would be? Do you think he'll be pleased to see his garden being described as derelict, his beekeeping described as substandard? Obviously not. That you can't see this makes me...

    Desperately seeking help!

I suspect we are not hearing the whole story. Posting pictures of your neighbours garden on a public forum hardly seems reasonable behaviour and is only going to make the situation worse. Apart from the open feeding, the setup is probably the same as hundreds of beekeepers in the UK. What...
