    Not forgetting the swathes of forest and land being cleared in Africa, the Far East and South America for Soya beans, palm oil trees, almond orchards etc etc but that doesn't count according to vegan, much of the land that once held massive bee colonies!!

    I cut mine from the 9mm x ? cladding that seems to abound many abodes now, just run through the table saw or originally hand saw and cut to length.

    Have seen a lot of wasps about already, with the temperatures variations a lot of hives are still hibernating and some awake early, so it may be worth just ensuring entrance guarded with mesh and hive fed and watered until the real warm weather is out there, try using fondant with pollen in it...

    sorry to see use wide blocks or cut bat straps fixed to hive legs like ground spikes. hope queen ok may be worth putting recues in hive set up in greenhouse only lightly warmed if you have one still standing.

    Get a sheet of heavy gauge poly from Tool Station or similar outlet, cut to floor size and put down, when you extract and transfer use poly or paper overshoes for feet when done recycle shoes/slipovers and fold poly-sheet and wash with warm soapy water outside. As for the movement put brake...

    Move the queen, and sufficient workers into the nuc. move to a different area to where they are now if possible. do you have extra hives to move extras to?
