    What did you do in the Apiary today?

    I checked on a colony that lots their queen early may. I gave them a frame with queen cells and let them get on with it. 6 weeks later all looking good. Plenty of healthy brood . My biggest hives are capping plenty of honey, not enough yet to warrant another harvest but nice and runny so happy...

    Thanks folks. Very helpful. Yesterday there was a great deal of interest in the box but by 'ordinary' looking bees rather than the small black ones. Perhaps they were bullied away.

    I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a swarm trap in a tree at the top of my garden that has been very successful in the past. I have enough hives now but didn't get round to taking it down so wasn't too surprised to see scout bees checking it out yesterday. I was about to remove it but...
