don't normally get irritated by the tele, but I've found this guy most condisending to pretty well everyone he meets:svengo: The other week his great excitment at the prospect of spraying Amonia on friut trees. Just my thoughts, but just possibly a case of others doing what our boys gave up...

    pollen patties

HiPete, just to say that if you talk to Bako they could organise for you to pick up your order from someone local who is a large scale user, they did for me. In my case it was a big time butcher come baker who uses them, they kindly taged my couple of boxes of fondant onto their delivery, no...

    Remains of Laying worker manipulation

I had a laying worker situation. About a week ago I shook them out a few hundred yards away, as you do. The flyers came back and the younger, non flyers clumped in the grass, as I expected, hopfully with the laying worker. Next day, I noticed they (the clump) were stil alive huddled together on...

    Sun Flowers

quick update re SunFlowers. Nil, Nothing diddley squat. Don't know the type of flowers, but they are only about 2 feet tall (is that the norm?) Would have been better off on HB or the Heather I think.

    Weak colony - best option?

just a thought, but you might not have enought bees to cover the brood you introduce. So, perhaps you need to swap the position of the weak and stronger hives to boost the bee numbers as well, to cover the brood frames. Just a thought
