    Dreadful Weather

    Yeah it just sounds like the cold weather has slowed the queens laying, probably because the bees cannot heat the rest of the frames. I wouldn't worry as long as they have bees and stores.

    Hello beekeepers

    I am a junior beekeeper of 1 hive in the south of England who is a bit of a novice but has been keeping bees for over two years now. I currently have a prolific hive and am taking steps to avoid a swarm(regular checks and if necessary a split).

    Single egg cup

    Yeah, the only thing is that I squished all queen cups last year, and the bees pretty much just swarmed anyways. in the wally shaw pdf he says that squishing queen cells doesn't work, which fits with my experience. anyways last inspection i found an egg(not larvae) in a queen cup
