    Comb on comb?

Evening all Thought this was strange! Is it normal for the bees to make additional comb on top of the new foundation they've drawn in the supers? Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk

How quickly can bees fill a super?

Gosh that's fast YorkshireBees! So glad you asked the question Zante. I'd better check our hived swarm quick. Is this weather dependant as it's been sunshine, showers, hot & cold here all week? Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk

Not sure if I should feel incredibly lucky or incredibly stupid

Thanks Brigsy, I'm now in possession of Wally Shaws 'there are queen cells in my hive' and the 'swarm control guide'. Really wish I'd had these in the beginning. I had planned to do an artificial swarm using the new hive but sadly I wasn't prepared. As the saying goes 'fail to prepare'...

Have I failed before I've begun?

Thank you for all your quick responses and advice. Sounds like I'm being a little impatient and overcautious. I'll stop feeding and leave them to do their thing. I'm hoping to add to the hives soon. I realise now that if I'd had 2 hives, I could have compared them. Thanks again for your help.

Have I failed before I've begun?

Hi everyone I wonder if I could ask the kind people here for a little advice? I purchased my beehive & nuc of buckfast bees in August last year. I've managed to keep the hive alive throughout the winter by feeding fondant & I've now swapped to a 1 to 1 liquid sugar feed. I made an inspection...
