Hi, I'm a relatively new bee keeper and set up my first hive in 2015 which I overwintered and then split the colony in 2016 and they went on from strength to strength. Sadly I came home from 2 weeks holiday in August and on inspection find both hives full of dead bees having been decimated by a wasps, I was totally gutted but with help from my mentor who was kind enough to give me a strong nuc of bees I started again in 2018. Things were going well and I grew my colony to 5 hives but sadly a new farmer took over the fields behind my property last year and sprayed his crops with insecticide so I lost all my colonies.
So where I stand now is that I purchased a nuc last year and now currently have 4 colonies which I am trying to grow in strength ready to overwinter.
