    Waspinator

every year i treat a few nests close to these fake nests so i dont think they work, i had one last year within 6" got to laugh. but i would think things like this will always sell well on hope value alone just like magic diet pills.

    Mice

When i`m baiting i quite often use a paste bait that is pasta based and stops any taking away of the bait, in my experience they seem to prefer it to grain based baits also.

    be careful !!

I did a wasp nest a few weeks ago above a bathroom window, they were going to leave it but the daughter left the bathroom light on with the window open, later that evening the guy went for a pee to find he was sharing the bathroom with a couple of thousand wasps. apparently that was the last straw.

Why say NO to doing a course?

If i had the choice between a 18 year old kid straight from agricultural collage with all his bits of paper, or a 70 year old farmer with no certificates whos been farming for years, to plough my land i know who i would pick. What i`m trying to say is a certificate/qualification means nothing...

    Nucleus method of swarm control

This is what i did, albeit by accident, and has worked fine, just enough to hold the original colony back a bit and increase numbers two.

    Anyone keep Quail?

I`ve just hatched off 12 from 16 eggs, they are so tiny. I`ve never kept them before myself, the kids want to keep these in the back garden, looks like i need to get the hammer and nails out.

    wax moulds

o.k my bad, but in my defence i only tryed this way because i saw a guy on utube using it, i think it was georgia bees john pluta, to make candles, and i just thought thats nice and simple. Anyway lesson learned and at least fairly cheaply

    which newspaper

What newspaper do you use to combine? Do your bees prefer the times or perhaps the guardian? Or are they smutty little girls that get the daily sport? Would you use page 3 of the sun and risk upsetting them? I think i need to get out more:biggrinjester:.
