    Beekeepers Professions

Recently retired and a hobbyist with four hives in a large garden.

    Nationwide abandoned hives.

Perhaps they can’t find masks big enough to cover their clown noses?

Think I’ll go into the garden and eat worms.

Wonderful minimum doesn’t do it for me either🌦

The robbing "pillaging" of wild Bee colonies.

The problem is our big brain. Its made us selfish and stupid regarding the things that matter and ultimately self defeating.

    Weather Effects on Winter Prep

Well, I’m very glad to see that, but a grand minimum still seems contradictory to me🌞

Surely that’s a contradiction in terms - grand / minimum??

New Long not so deep Hive

I was only joking😀 My garden is surrounded by large trees that could support an owl box, but they’re all just in my neighbours land. It must be great to have barn owls around, they are such graceful birds, despite the weird noises they make.

New Long not so deep Hive

A little bit of rebellion from Stan? Perhaps the hive up the tree and one on the roof has pushed him too far❓❓❓❓

The robbing "pillaging" of wild Bee colonies.

It worked for me and has put my blood pressure over the top! Again it’s an example of how little our natural world is respected. Given that beekeeping is a sustainable way of producing honey, is there a need to destroy wild nests in this way? I guess somewhere along the way it’s driven by greed...

    Nationwide abandoned hives.

    Beckham will change all that.

    Weather Effects on Winter Prep

The weather guessers reckon we are in for three weeks wet and windy weather. Around me the ivy is just about to bloom, so will probably be inaccessible to the bees when it does. So I guess feeding will need to be stepped up. Are there any other considerations given such a gloomy outlook?
