    Not a bad idea if a tunnel takes the bees to the outside, and the lifts are then lined with eg 10cm of kingspan.

    It sounds like they are just decorative "lifts" like a WBC, probably over a standard hive eg national.

    I'm sure it's all possible, or you could get bees to do it! I think someone is manufacturing "drawn comb" but I'm not sure how.

    Actively cooled print chamber, and appropriate temperature nozzles, maybe fed with molten wax via small heated hoses.

    I would definitely requeen that hive ASAP, I wouldn't count your 3m defensive rule as normal either - I can (almost always) stand 2-3...

    Oval label centred on a face but extending over the two adjacent faces works well for me.
