    I've done 2kg per litre and only had a very small amount of crystallisation after standing for some time (weeks I think)

    Obviously if you spot her in the brood box you don't need to shake them, so worth looking first!

    You can just shake all the bees into the brood box from the super before replacing the QE - an empty super on top of the brood box helps...
