Are you saying a QE in the middle of the 2 hives and then one on the top of the top box or that latter one being on the bottom of the bottom.....sorry wasn't too clear.
Either way I can't see them having a huge impact....

Really interesting. I was considering a bailey on my Beehaus this year but just couldnt work it through. I had considered two supers on top of each other to store the frame but doubt the size would work?
Are you saying work it horizontally instead? Trying to imagine how this will work...
My original apairy site had horses to the front and back. I did build a small fence in front of the entrance to encourage them up and over and there were no problems.
I also went and spoke to the owners of the two stables and made sure they were happy with the arrangement which I am ever so...
I have personally never worked out why the BBKA does not include the likes of Scotland and I think Wales. Seems a bit weird to me that it doesnt maybe someone can fill me in on why that is the case
Therefore i am all for the regional centres. Website looks good, congratulations but they should...
Having watched it I tend to believe that these sorts of things will be encouraging people to look at bees in general and not just the honey bee. Not a bad thing really if there is enough scope to explain the difference between honey and solitary bees.....
Doesn't take a brain cell to realise it...
Would I be wrong in suggesting to try to analyse by closing up your open mesh floor (assuming you habe one) for a period of time to measure your true mite population and taking it from there as to the action required.
At least that way you may get an idea on the total hive problem rather than...
They are also on Facebook should anyone be interested with links to a streaming of the video using Amazon (for $3.99).
You can find their Facebook page here
Hope that helps.

Well that is what I figured Oliver. I couldn't quite work out the benefit because surely running two hives separately would be more easy and just as efficient (if not more so!)
Thought I would ask here to see what you all thought.

Hi all,
I run a pretty active facebook page for beginner beekeepers, and an interesting photo was posted showing a double queen hive (as seen below)
Does anyone else run a hive in this fashion and does it really have an effect on honey production as they have been suggesting?
Interested in...
Very good.....better be a little careful there then!:)
Thanks for your thoughts all, will see if I can say hello to anyone while I am over there.....

Hi all,
I may be fortunate in having a trip to Jersey soon with work. Wanted to see what beekeepers there are there but can't seem to find any link to any association there.
Does anyone know of an association or any beekeepers over there? All i get are links to New Jersey and not really...
Susbees,
Yes, that's true and interestingly an angry client turned up that day of filming. To do with a delivery of bees being late apparently. It was filmed back in May so none of the EFB had been found to my knowledge.
It did seem the set up was rather haphazard and disorganised and for a...
