Are you saying a QE in the middle of the 2 hives and then one on the top of the top box or that latter one being on the bottom of the bottom.....sorry wasn't too clear. Either way I can't see them having a huge impact.... James

Having watched it I tend to believe that these sorts of things will be encouraging people to look at bees in general and not just the honey bee. Not a bad thing really if there is enough scope to explain the difference between honey and solitary bees..... Doesn't take a brain cell to realise it...

Would I be wrong in suggesting to try to analyse by closing up your open mesh floor (assuming you habe one) for a period of time to measure your true mite population and taking it from there as to the action required. At least that way you may get an idea on the total hive problem rather than...
