Thank you all for your kind advice we have managed to shake bees into the hive and home them appropriately so we now have queen excluder and crown board in place, much appreciated. fingers crossed they do not swarm again but they appear settled in for time being.

Correct - currently just floor, brood box, frames and roof, is there any way to entice the bees into the hive so we can put on queen excluder, crown board? If we cannot get the bees into the hive what will happen ?

We are realtively new to bee keeping and this is our second summer of bee keeping, we had a swarm yesterday and managed to recover this and get it into a bee hive last night, the bees seem to have remained in the hive however they have all accumulated under the roof what should we do to try...
