In my experience, the bees temprement comes from the queen's pheromones, replace the queen and the temperament changes in a few hours. There's no need to wait several weeks for the 'nasty' beeso die out. Temprement com from the queen's pheromones alone. I agree with the rest of the comments.

True self spacing was not mentioned. However, in correspondence prior to ordering, I specifically mentioned Hoffmans and was assured it would not be an issue. With hindsite, I suspect they did not know what hoffman frames were.

I bought a Harmony Farms one - two big issues were, it does not handle Hoffman frames at all and it leaves quite a bit of honey behind - even after spinning for 2/3 times as long as after 'traditional' read breadknife, uncapping. I re-sold it at a significant loss afte reveeting to the breadknife.

I've used something similar - the two issues I had was that 1) it doesn't work at all with Hoffman frames and 2) it leaves quite a bit of honey behind - significantly more that 4-6%, even after spinning for 2/3 times longer than 'traditional' uncapping methods. If you don't use Hoffman and are...
