    I think from now on i may well decide to clip my queens. It's not very nice but it may make more sense than watching them fly away.

    no the frames were full with drawn out comb and there was a super on it 75% filled and capped. I am still slightly baffeled why they swarmed and i am amazed at the speed of which they buggered off !

    Hi Guys I performed an A/S two days ago as my bees were busting out the seams of my hive. at 1pm today my main hive swarmed.     I think a large majority of hives and bees stolen are actually stolen by beekeepers or wannabee keepers. over the last year or so bee have become very expensive. I think the removal of bees takes a certain amount of knowledge. just my opinion. sorry to hear about the thefts. one more reason...

    oh yes, it makes sense to me as i am taking my swarm i collectad last sumer, through my first winter. every night i think to myself, is there anything more i can do ? and i worry a lot . :0) shonto
