Wild/Feral Survivor-Thrivers: Naturally Selected Resistant Bees.

I Very valid I'd guess the bees do mix with kept bees but possible that varroa migrate on other species to extend their area. I think when there's no human intervention ie varroa treatments the honey bees are stressed to a point when the genetic allieums are forced to come out. I think there's...

    Thousands of bees available!

I cant help your to far away but pictures would help to see what's involved. I'm a tradesman and honestly repairing ceelings is not usually a big deal, I think someone already said if they can be got at from internally over externally it would save a great deal of repair work to make good. Good...

    Predator mites against varroa?

I generally don't, I find for slugs traps work great and you get the target species. I've bought ladybugs before but don't think I would now (they where useless anyway 😂). Had a real problem with fleabeatle this year but in fairness I covered some brassicas and they've been fine so next season...

    Predator mites against varroa?

Fair point, but still if you increase the predators in an area not normally there or there in great numbers I'm sure it will have a detrimental effect on the local eco system.

    Predator mites against varroa?

Sounds a terrible idea, similar to crayfish or grey squirrels. They'll likley just become another problem down the line.

    Poor Queens

Sorry just seen this. You think a that amc, aml, amm and all the other subspecies evolved just for the sh#ts and giggles of it? You think the climate of southern Italy where AML evolved is similar to middlesbbrough or any other part of the UK lol I think you might be due a holiday. The lack of...

    Poor Queens

I read that flora and fauna where found in the south of England from around 400 years ago that would be more suited to Italy than the UK. I assume the bees must have evolved to suit the change. I think honey bees are better adapted to environmental changes than most creatures. I watched a...

    Poor Queens

But you think the difference in subspecies is not comparable with I'd say the same subspecies is probably alot closer dna match than different subspecies? I'm all for banning imports of any subspecies. Although AMM from Ireland are much closer to native than anything imported from Europe and...

    Poor Queens

Why that's the whole point every one seems to miss, for me stop importing breed what we have or start from as local stock as possible (amm) then keep going. The bees have evolved for melenia to suit their respective climate why should it be diffrent now? Climate change is another argument but I...
