    Nuc/swarm needed in S Somerset/W Dorset

I've got too many bees at the moment but my bees are in commercial hives. I would happy to sell some - probably best in the spring. You should be able to find a free swarm through your local beekeeping group but if you haven't then contact me in the spring. (Could always do a shook swarm onto...

is there any commercial honey extracting service in East Anglia

Might be worth putting up an advert locally in a shop window and offer payment in honey. I am sure there are plenty of people who would be interested. Or perhaps there are new beekeepers in your local club who do not have an extractor and would want to process their honey using your extractor in...

I have also had a number of colonies start swarm preparations shortly after clipping with young queens.

    Splitting hives

That's what I always do with an AS. Put a frame or two with a QC into a nuc at the same time.

how can I reduce water content post extraction?

Are you sure it wasn't only water near the surface that was drawn off? If it was 20% and went down to 17.5% water then you have removed 2.5% (ie 1/40th) roughly of the contents of the two buckets as liquid. If it was only 150ml of water removed then that means the two buckets must be 6kg total...
