Equipment, bees and lots of stuff for sale

I've been inundated with PM's, so sincere apologies to those who have PM'd me and I have still not replied - I intend to do so. Subject to money actually changing hands, I have now sold the entire lot as a single transaction. Apologies to those that I did speak to on the basis that I would...

Equipment, bees and lots of stuff for sale

Hi Hopefully I have managed to PM everybody that replied, and sorry if I have been a bit tardy. I have been away a lot. Looks like I am going to have to split, so I've priced things up as follows, although happy to negotiate- I may have lost touch a bit with the real value of things. If you...

Equipment, bees and lots of stuff for sale

Due to a moderate anaphylactic reaction with my wife and circumstances leaving me with very little free time I’m sadly giving up beekeeping, and wish to sell all my equipment and bees. I would give priority to anyone who gave me a reasonable offer for the entire lot, rather than splitting...

    Dead bee's post oxalic.

As Finman Didn't treat with OA, but mild here and plenty of (naturally) dead bees being ejected with greater activity. Can't guarantee anything, but almost certainly normal

    Brrrr!

Very medicinal smell - think peaty malt whisky. I believe granulates quickly and people have a "marmite" approach to it. Love it or hate it. We get quite a lot round here, but the bees are welcome to it.

    Purchasing WBC

I've got a T***es WBC on varroa floor that needs a home. Brood box is non original, but super is original. About 3 years old. Only thing it is doing is looking pretty at the moment, so open to offers. You'd have to pick it up, Rye I guess is a reasonable distance though. PM me if interested.

Giordan extractor not working. Any suggestions please

I'd be inclined to ring either manufacturer or the place you bought it from. Even if it is out of guarantee, I'd have thought that you would be due some goodwill as failure after this short of period would suggest not fit for purpose. Perhaps don't deconstruct before doing this...

    Feast-Famine in 7 Days

Beeno, where abouts in the SE are you? I'm slightly surprised given that weather has been good here (in Surrey), and I've been swapping full capped DN frames of honey for foundation to give queens room to lay. Not in anyway suggesting it's not starvation though. Climates can vary considerably...

    Heather Honey

Tell me about it...- and it didn't come with instructions. Needling across the narrow width of the super appeared to put less strain on the comb, but whether an up and down movement, or a slight lateral 'vibration' was the best mode I am not sure. Your opinion PH?

    Heather Honey

/Rant I know I should be grateful, but I have just spent a most unpleasant afternoon extracting. Had one super of capped cut comb, rest uncapped been ripening for a few days. Needling it is a right faff, then needs spinning for about 10 minutes. Goes back to solid at the bottom of the...
