to quell swarming instinct you need to break the QUEEN-BEES-BROOD triangle - it's just like firefighting for anyone who has done their annual fire lecture. How do you do that then?

We inspected the hive yesterday evening. There is a lot of honey and pollen. The cells don't look polished out. No eggs. The bees were quite dopey no pollen going in.
