Looks like I'll need to do a proper inspection, They have filled all the frames (is a deep national) but I don't know how many are with brood, just seems to be twice as many bees in there than at the end of summer last year..

Is it too early to put on a super, took a quick peak in to day and they seem to be packed already.

All sounds like good advice, will put up a couple of Bee Aware signs and add to the field users information pack. Obviously need to get the scouts involved with the management of bees! What could possibly go wrong..

Dear All, New to Bee keeping, been on a course and set up an area in a field for one hive to start with. As we also use the field for scouts etc. have put up 6 foot wind netting on two sides of the apiary area. the other two side are a low fence / brambles Does this sound sensible? Thanks
