Both my hive are a bit low on bees and stores i have some fondant left would it be best to feed this or syrup

Thorns want £60 but found a cheaper one at £30 as my skills are not up to making one

Was given 3 of these with some kit from a old beekeeper and dont know what they are thought they might be something to do with queen rearing So over to you

Well after such a bad and stressful year for the bees and us i have ended up with only a super and a half of honey. I have 2 hives on 12x14 and was thinking righting this year off and letting the bees keep the honey hoping that the better nutrition will help them What your thourghts
