    How much room does the flight path in to the hive need to be? One book I've read says 6 foot away from a high object like a fence or shed. Is this right?

    British black bee

    I was also that the British black bee was more adapted to the British weather. Is this correct or are most bees use to the British weather/climate?

    Do the farmers normally give you guys notice of when their spraying the crops and what's the best way to protect the bees when their spraying?

    Was wondering how many people have hives on farmers land and if the farmers are supportive or if they're not really bothered. I was thinking of approaching a farmer to see if he would allow me to put some hives on his land. Any advice welcome

    Already joined nottinghamshire beekeeping association last month but like its been said I'm just to late to see any of theirs. Just thought i would throw the question out on here. Been reading a few books and certain books say some bees are easier to handle than others. Guess i wouldn't know...

    Which bee to get for a beginner? I fancy getting the British black bee as been told its a good bee for a beginner beekeeper. What are people views?
