    Children’s beekeeping suits

Hi I have two children size beekeeping suits which I no longer have a need for. If anyone nearby to Maidenhead would like to have them please let me know. I don’t want anything for them and would be pleased to see them go to good use.

    Using Old Super Frames

I need to add another super and the only one I have has frames that have been used before. They have dried out wax and last years pollen in them, likely from another colony; Can I add these to a colony in the knowledge that the bees will clean them up before storing honey.

Anyone else still got a colony wanting to swarm

I have two hives - one is very calm and palic, the other is angry to say the least. The angry ones are prone to attack the veil when the hive is opened and will follow persistantly for more that 50 yards, This hive has 2 capped supers and another on the way. The queen is laying with eggs seen...

Three sealed queen cells, lots of brood - what next

Ok - makes sense. I assume the queen is still there as there are definately eggs and the expected amount of bees so I don't think they have swarmed. So if I move a frame with brood and QC, a frame with stores and some bees to the nuc box.... keeping the queen in the old brood box and...

Three sealed queen cells, lots of brood - what next

Thank you for quick reply - So how to do it... Can I place the nuc box to one side, take out a frame with one QC and brood, and maybe one with stores and put this with some bees in nuc - fill up with foundation. Then leave the old queen in the old box - and destroy the other QCs in here so...

Comb and Honey stored in Eke Space

Hi. I am just finishing treatment with Apiguard, having used an eke (about 3'' deep) to allow space for the foil tray above the brood box. During the last week the bees have almost totally filled the space between the eke and the crown board with wax and filled this with stores. Any advice to...
