    I painted them at the weekend with the ronseal 5 year. The first coat soaked in, the second went on nice quite watery paint though until you get onto second coat.     I just wondered after making up some new hive boxes should I paint them with ronseal fence line I found in the shed. Will it extend the working life of the cedar or is best left untreated. Many thanks Jez

    Thanks for the replys height of brood box is 263mm and super is 220mm Brood space is 435 x 396 The mystery continues, The person who owns them has a full container of them all full of frames but the frames dont seem to fit ether. Jez
