No, - those are the correct external dimensions to meet the British Standard as last published (except it was stated in imperial inches 18.125" :)) You are supposed to use the correct thickness of material to arrive at appropriate internal dimensions. 18mm or 20mm timber is ok, with rebated...

I dunno, ............... when I look at 'em, some of 'em seem to be rushin' ... ... I reckon they learned some of their lingo from birds, ........ ....... I think they call it 'Pijin' ... ... but they can only distinguish the shape of some capital letters, so a conversation might go...

Because all of those phrases contain duplicate letters, which could be very confusing for young bees who are struggling with their alphabet. ........................... Seeee .......... !

You could just put two supers (with frames and contents) between two queen excluders, between the top and bottom brood boxes, and not bother with the Snelgrove board at all. The bees will equalize between the boxes, but you must remove the top box to a another site before the queen emerges, or...
