Still significant mite drop after OA

The accepted doctrine is a count >10 over a 7 day period risks losing the hive to a mite infestation. This hen becomes you goal doesn't it?

Still significant mite drop after OA

I guess what I'm saying [badly] is to stop and risks losing the hives. Surely on the balance of probabilities it is wiser to keep battling than give up completely, but hey they aint my bee's.

I helped a friend vape their hives, they bottled it too when drops got to a hundred. From one hive with a mite drop well into 4 figure drops. They lost all 9 hives that winter; they were crushed.

Bee poo on house windows and cars

Another storm in a teacup from someone with more time on their hands than they should. Where I used to live we had a burner on a farm that deposited ash over everything in a wide radius. Just couldn't be a r s e d in the end as when it rained bye bye ash.

Still significant mite drop after OA

Noting what you've said above I calculate: Initial drop after 24hrs of 100 Less than 10 [whats that?] 5 per day for five days = 25 therefore total mite drop for 5 days is ....... 125 more or less. So what do YOU think you should do?

Still significant mite drop after OA

Please use some common sense here. The NBU advice is an average of >10 mites drop over 7 days is just about ok whereas >100 mite drop over the same period suggests viability of the hive is in doubt. If you work to these figures which no one is challenging then you will have answered your own...
