He sounds like an arsehole. Whilst it's galling to let arseholes get their way, getting embroiled in a shin kicking contest with one will do you no favours - he'll still be an arsehole whatever the outcome, and you'll have to spend considerable time fighting with/talking to/thinking about said...

I find the 'shaking a bottle' method to be quicker than the 'stirring in a pan' method, but i tend to only make small amounts at a time. I do get some funny looks in the work kitchen though - it looks like I'm making the worlds worst cocktail in a recycled pop/milk bottle.

Hi, Just thought I'd mention that we were in a similar position: performed AS on April 29th, no sign of eggs or queen for ages, presumed Q-, added test frame last week, checked again today to see eggs and larva :)
