They are bred to chase and kill, not good if you have cats, chickens or pet rabbits. I would recommend a retriever type, lab, flatcoat or golden.

I use the thin surgical type glove over the leather glove, the bees are less likely to sting, your leather gloves stay clean and the surgical gloves can be replaced easily when they become sticky. But. When you remove the gloves don't leave the surgical on the leather as the leather cannot dry...

I always wear a bush hat, the brim keeps the veil away from ears and nose and also gives added protection to the top of the head for baldies. :)
