Made same mistake last year, never again i know it was my bees moved it though, came back next day to see a big cluster of bees over the so called cone escape (wasp entrance) took em less than 18 hours to move the lot . Decided they could keep the stores since they worked so hard.

No other beekeepers for miles around sounds ideal, get yourself on top of swarm control and get slecting your best queens for breeding make sure you got plenty of drones and away you go. There will be plenty on here wish they were able to have as much potential control over the drone pool. David

    Dowsing

and thats my problem with it all, dont get me wrong I would love this to work, but something that finds whatever it is youre looking for is a little bit fairytale for me. Go out into a field with your coathangers intent on finding beehive sites all the time having to hope your not thirsty or...

    Dowsing

How do you know that your hives are situated on a mystical crossing of lay lines as opposed to the...

    Sticky gloves

Knows its not recommended but if they are leather pop them in the washing machine using washing soda rather than washing powder. allow to dry naturally and leather should be softish after a few finger wiggles. If using normal Marigold kitchen gloves soak in hot water with washing soda. David
