    Bees for sale - Reading

I've got a Langstroth with bees that I need to sell in the next couple of weeks as I'm going off to medical school and won't have time to look after them. Would anyone be interested?

    Bees Wanted Kingston Surrey

Did you manage to get hold of some? I'm in Reading and my bees swarmed yesterday (scatty old queen, it was raining!). Would you be interested? I haven't got any more hives so they're currently in a flower pot!

    Bees Killed My Chicken :-(

I'm already on the Omlet forum :blush5: The most I've paid at the vets for a chicken was £30 to have one with a tumour put down... She only cost £5 but I couldn't bear to do it myself. I probably am mad..

I was afraid you'd say that... My family already think I'm mad :willy_nilly:

    Bees Killed My Chicken :-(

She's doing much better now- she's eating and drinking without the need for prompts. I let her out this morning (far away from the hives) and she was chased by a bee and stung. The other chickens are fine which leads me to believe that they can still smell the stings on her. How long will it...

    Bees Killed My Chicken :-(

She's looking a bit better this morning. Very sleepy (not sure if that's the piriton though!). She's not keen on eating anything at the moment so I might have to give her some egg by a straw later. Thanks for all the advice!

    Bees Killed My Chicken :-(

Sorry, I hadn't made that clear. The queen was moved on frame. I think the piriton's done the trick! She's a bit docile but she's opening her eyes and was standing up a minute ago. Might try the syrup...

    Bees Killed My Chicken :-(

Moving the queen into the new hive on the old site. Any helpful suggestions?

    Bees Killed My Chicken :-(

I moved the queen from my hive today to complete an artificial swarm. They got VERY angry and attacked me (only got stung once, thanks to the suit), and the chickens. One chicken is dead and the other badly stung. Firstly, is there anything you would recommend for the surviving hen? Secondly...

No- I forgot to put it on :-s

    No Bees...

Thanks. I'm so glad it was mice because at least they can't spread to the other hive via robbing bees! As you say, lesson learnt. I'll make sure that it's properly rodent-proof this winter.

    No Bees...

Oh, maybe I got my Dropbox settings wrong. Hang on... Ok, The photos work now... Not sure what's up with the grey lines though.

    No Bees...

Ok, I managed to get some photos. On one you'll see some mould, would you say this is an indication of nosema?
